Owls Flutter Past Cajuns 4-3

Boca Raton, Fla. - Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team lost a tough 4-3 decision to FAU Sunday. For the second consecutive day the Cajuns lost a close battle to a team from Florida. This time the loss came against a fellow Sun Belt Conference member.
UL got off on the wrong foot by losing the double's point. Piotr Banas and Yanick Mandl won the only doubles match for the Cajuns, 8-6. For the first time this season Arlen Domoney and Javier Pulgar lost in a double's match.
"This was a very disappointing result. I expected us to come away from this Florida trip with at least one win," said Mark Jeffrey.
In the singles portion of the match Neil Schneider continued his great performance this season by improving his record to 4-0. He won his match in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.
Also picking up wins for the Cajuns were Pitor Banas 6-0, 6-3 and Arlen Domoney 7-6 (1-0), 6-4.
The Cajuns will be back in action Saturday, February 28 when the travel to Baton Rouge to take on LSU at 1 p.m.
