Cajuns Come Up Short Against LSU

BATON ROUGE - Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns men's team came up short against in state rival LSU, losing 4-0. On a cold and windy Febrary day the Cajuns tennis team was unable to heat up the court against LSU. The Cajuns couldn't manage a win in weather shortened match.
In the doubles portion of the match the Tigers won the first two matches before the third match was suspended with UL leading 6-5.
Pitor Olechowski made his season debut Saturday afternoon but unfortunately was unable to make many waves. He and teammate Piotr Banas lost their doubles match 8-1. Teaming up for the first time Arlen Domoney and Yanick Mandl also came out on the wrong end losing 8-4. Neil Schneider and Javier Pulgar were winning their doubles match 6-5.
In the singles portion Olechowski lost to #5 Michael Venus in straight sets 6-2, 6-3. Mandl and Domoney also lost in straight sets. When Domoney lost the match stoped.
The Cajuns travel to Southern Miss Friday, March 6 for a 2 p.m. match with the Eagles before returning to Cajun Courts to face Southern March 8 at 2 p.m.
