Cajuns Fall To Arkansas State 3-1

The Red Wolves grabbed the 1-0 lead in the first half during the 26th minute. Ashley McMurtey was able to set up Anna Kaloghirou off of a corner kick for the score.
Arkansas State was able to widen the margin early in the second half. Michele Clark sent in a corner kick that ricocheted off the far post. Stasha Siers was able to get the rebound and put it in the back of net for the Red Wolves second goal of the night.
Kara Nitti tacked on ASU's third goal of the evening after gathering a loose ball from Ashley McMurty in front of the Cajun's goal.
Jordan Blevins was able to put the Cajuns on the scoreboard late in the second half with her first career goal. Kelli Jestes was credited with the assist.
Louisiana posted six shots on goal compared to eight by Arkansas State.
UL now sits at 0-10-1 on the season. ASU improved to 6-4-1 on the year and a perfect 3-0 in Sun Belt play.
The Ragin' Cajuns will be back in action on Sunday in another Sun Belt match with UALR. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. CT.
