After 90-minutes of play, neither team had managed to scratch the scoreboard. In the first overtime, UL was the only team to attempt a shot, but they were unable to break the scoreless deadlock as the Lion's goalie made the match-saving stop.
In the second overtime, both team attempted a pair of shots, however, none of the shot attempts were on goal.
The scoreless ties marks just the second time this season that the Cajuns have been held without a point, but is the third time in 2006 UL has shutout an opponent.
Goalkeeper Stephanie Weston earned the shutout on the day. The shutout was the third for Weston in 2006 and the sixth of her career.
Her six career shutouts tied the sophomore with teammate Kristen Malen for the top mark in school history in career shutouts.
En route to the shutout, the Lions took 13 shots, but just three shots on goal. Weston recorded all three saves, pushing her career total to 129 in just 20 games in her young career.
Offensively, the Cajuns attempted just 11 shots, but had five shots on goal. The UL offense was spread out as five different Cajuns attempted shots on goal.
