Cajuns Battle Warhawks to Scoreless Tie

LAFAYETTE-Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns women's soccer team closed out the regular season with a scoreless tie in double overtime against in-state rival Louisiana-Monroe.
The Cajuns couldn't find the mark on a cold night at the Cajuns Track/Soccer Facility. UL totaled 22 shots on the evening, including eight shots on goal, but were unable to score and break the scoreless tie.
Ten different Cajuns players attempted shots, including six different Ragin' Cajuns registering shots on goal.
Courtney Hofland and Lindsay Webb both had a pair of shots on goal to lead all Cajuns players.
Webb had the best opportunity for the Ragin' Cajuns to net a goal. The senior from
Defensively, the Cajuns held the Warhawks to 11 shots and just four shots on goal. Goalkeeper Stephanie Weston recorded four saves to record her sixth shutout of the season.
Weston's six shutouts in one season tie her with teammate Kristen Malen for most in a season. Malen recorded six shutouts her freshman season in 2004.
