Turned in the Ragin’ Cajuns’ top time in a 10-kilometer event, finishing in 32:32.0 at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival … competed in five races on the season with three top-20 finishes … finished second overall at the Ragin’ Cajuns Invitational (26:53.0) … placed ninth overall at the McNeese Cowboy Stampede (21:46.0) … placed 19th overall at the Sun Belt Conference championships (26:03.7).
High school
A member of seven Class 5A state championship teams in a three-year span at Baton Rouge’s Catholic High School … won eight individual state titles in five events in his prep career … coached by Pete Boudreaux … helped the Bears to three straight Class 5A indoor state titles, along with a pair of outdoor and cross country championships … set the state Class 5A record in the 1,600-meter run … won individual state outdoor titles in the 3,200-meter run and earned a pair of state indoor championships in the 1,600 … claimed state championships in the indoor 1,600 and 3,200 and was the 2011 Class 5A individual state cross country champion.
