NCAA Eligibility/Continuing Eligibility
NCAA Eligibility: There are a number of rules and regulations from both the university and the NCAA that all student-athletes must be aware of and follow in order to ensure eligibility. These rules and their descriptions are below. Please read carefully since, ultimately, it is your responsibility as a student-athlete to maintain your athletic eligibility. Your Athletic Coach will be notified if your eligibility status changes or is in jeopardy.

Additional Academic Policies
Change of Major
Student-athletes must meet with their SAAC Academic Counselor if they intend to change majors. Failure to do so may result in loss of eligibility. Prior to changing, the student-athlete must have his/her transcript evaluated by the Dean’s office of his/her intended major to determine the total number of degree applicable credit hours in the new major. This information is critical in ensuring the student-athlete will meet NCAA progress towards degree requirements.
Supplemental Tools
Laptop Check-Out Policy
The SAAC has a number of laptop computers available for student-athletes to check-out for athletic road trips. Laptops are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and should only be used for academic purposes. To check-out a laptop, the student-athlete will need to complete a “Laptop Computer Request” form.
Laptops should be returned within 24 hours of a team’s return from its road trip, unless other arrangements have been made with the SAAC staff. The student-athlete is held responsible for returning the laptop in the same condition in which it was checked out. If the laptop is damaged, lost, stolen, or not returned, the student-athlete will be held financially accountable for up to $1,000.00.
Calculator Check-Out Policy
TI-83 Scientific Calculators are available for check-out in the SAAC on a first-come, first-serve basis. The calculators must be returned to the SAAC by the last day of final exams. The student-athlete is held responsible for returning the calculator in the same condition in which it
was checked out. If the calculator is damaged, lost, stolen, or not returned, the student-athlete will be held financially accountable for the cost of the calculator (minimum of $100.00).
