Summer School Attendance at Another University
Student-athletes are permitted to take coursework at another institution to be used to meet NCAA eligibility requirements, however, per NCAA rules the student-athlete must receive prior written approval from their SAAC Academic Counselor and their academic dean’s office in order for the courses to be used to meet eligibility requirements. The Student-Athlete should consult with his/her SAAC Academic Counselor before registering for any class at another institution.

The “Request for Approval of Transfer of Credits” must be completed and submitted to the student-athlete’s dean’s office for approval.  A course description from the university where you will be taking the course needs to be included with the form.  This paperwork should be submitted in advance of enrolling in the course to ensure approval has been granted, and that the course will transfer into the student-athlete’s degree program.

Please note that NCAA rules prohibit the use of any correspondence, extension or credit-by-exam courses from other institutions to be utilized in meeting eligibility requirements.
