Prior to Louisiana
Spent the 2010 season with former Sun Belt Conference foe New Orleans...Appeared in and started 48 games...Hit .273 and ranked second on the team with 13 home runs and 40 RBI...Of his 53 base hits, nearly half went for extra bases (8 doubles, 2 triples, 13 home runs)...Finished season with 104 total bases and a .536 slugging percentage...Played the previous two seasons at Scottsdale (Ariz.) Community College and was a two-time All-Region and All-ACCAC pick...Hit .380 with 10 home runs and 34 RBIs as a redshirt freshman in 2008 and followed up by hitting .333 with nine home runs and 45 RBIs in 2009...Originally signed with Arizona State and sat out as a redshirt in 2007 for the Sun Devils as a freshman...Was drafted in the 41st round by the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008.
