Although Josh Soto possesses the offensive skills to have an impact at the collegiate level, how quickly he is able to integrate himself into the lineup will depend on his ability to pick up the quickness and defensive nuances required at this level. A dead-eye shooter from the perimeter, he has proven effective scoring off the dribble. He has used his tough, physical play to improve as a perimeter defender.

•   One of the top scorers in the county in his only season at Florida Air Academy, playing for coach Aubin Gopori.
•   Averaged almost 20 points and six rebounds a game as a senior, helping team to a 22-4 record and the regional quarterfinals of the state playoffs.
•   Shot better than 40-percent from three-point as a senior, owning a career scoring high of 33 points.
•   Was rated as the No. 9 shooting guard in Florida and the No. 71 overall prospect in the state by FloridaHoops.
•   SourceHoops.com ranked him as the No. 74 player in the state.
