Spent freshman (2009) and sophomore (2010) seasons at former Sun Belt Conference rival New Orleans...Last season, was a teammate of current Cajun Mike Petello...Made 17 appearances, including 10 starts, for the Privateers and posted a 1-7 record and 7.59 ERA...Threw six strong innings against defending national champion LSU, holding the Tigers to three runs on five hits...Was weekend starter in freshman campaign and was top starter on staff...Led team in innings (70.1), strikeouts (61) and starts (13)...Went 3-4 with a 6.01 ERA...Had five strikeouts or more in seven of his 13 starts.
