2004: Drafted in the 12th round (351st overall) by Texas Rangers in the 2004...Became the Cajuns’ number starter, starting 16 games...Began his junior season much differently from his sophomore campaign, starting 4-2...Started season opener against Louisiana-Monroe, going five innings and allowing one run on four hits for the no decision...Earned his first win of the season against Stony Brook on Feb. 27...Pitched a complete game, one-hit shutout, striking out 12 batters for his first win of the season...Named Collegebaseballinsider.com National Player of the Week on March 5...Named Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week on March 2...After pitching a no-decision at ninth-ranked Wichita State on Mar. 5, Ardoin shut down Furman...Pitched seven innings, holding the Paladins to one run on just five hits while striking out nine for his second win of the season...Struck out seven batters in 6 1/3 innings against Michican on Mar. 19 for his third win...Ardoin pitched his second complete game of the season, this time against New Mexico State on April 9...Held the Aggies to one run on seven hits, while striking out five batters en route to his fourth win, improving to 4-1...Named Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week on April 12...Ardoin later added two more wins to his credit, including a 10 strikeout performance against Middle Tennessee in the Sun Belt Tournament on May 28.
