A three-time letterwinner at Acadiana for head coach Scott McCollough, Cockrell was a perfect 10-0 on the mound as a senior earning all-state honors while leading the Rams to the 5A State Quarterfinals…As a junior in 2010, Cockrell went 8-5 with a 3.24 ERA and 64 strikeouts en route to earning first team All-Acadiana honors from The Daily Advertiser…He also hit .281 with eight RBI and saw time at shortstop.
