Ragin' Cajuns open four-game road swing on Wednesday at Texas State
LAFAYETTE – Troy used a 3-point barrage to take a big halftime lead and used a rebounding advantage to keep their distance as the Trojans never trailed in a 90-70 win over the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns in a Sun Belt Conference game Saturday afternoon in the Cajundome.
Â
Thomas Dowd led six Troy (11-6, 4-1 SBC) in double figures with 15 points. Brothers Cooper and Cobi Campbell combined for seven 3-pointers in the first half and scored 12 points each. Victor Valdez also scored 12 points for the Trojans while Kerrington Kiel and Jerell Bellamy chipped in 11 apiece.
Â
Dorian Finister led Louisiana (4-14, 2-4 SBC), tying his career high with 25 points. The New Orleans junior connected on 8 of 12 shots from the field, including 3-for-5 from beyond the 3-point line. Dariyus Woodson came off the bench and had his second straight game in double digits, finishing with 13 points.
Â
