Louisiana's Higgs Named To ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team

Senior slugger earned team Triple Crown for Ragin' Cajuns

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana's Conor Higgs picked up more postseason accolades on Tuesday when he was voted as a second-team selection on the 2025 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-South Region team.
 
The 2025 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-Region Teams were announced in all eight regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Division I All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.
 
Higgs, named a first-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection last month, led Louisiana in batting average (.355), home runs (16) and RBI (46) to finish as the Ragin' Cajuns 17th Triple Crown winner dating back to 1963.
 
The Texas City, Texas native finished among the top SBC players in hitting, slugging percentage (.680) and OPS (1.152). Higgs recorded a team-high 21 multiple-hit games during the 2025 season, capped by a 5-for-6 performance against Marshall in the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
