Potgieter Finishes Tied for 11th at NCAA Tallahassee Regional

Junior caps off impressive 2024-25 season with 11th top-20 finish in 12 events
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Louisiana junior Malan Potgieter capped off an impressive 2024-25 season as he posted a 4-under-par 68 to finish tied for 11th overall at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional at Seminole Legacy Golf Club.
Potgieter concluded the 54-hole event at 3-under-par 213 to notch his 11th top-20 finish of the season in 12 events.
The Kirkwood, South Africa native recorded four birdies on the front nine, including the par-5, 560-yard No. 4 for the third consecutive day, and made the turn at 3-under-33. Potgieter added birdies at No. 11 and 12 to post a 1-under-35 on the back nine.
Potgieter finished first among the five individual players selected and was fourth overall among individuals from teams that finished outside of the top-5.
Host Florida State (835) claimed top honors to advance to the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, Calif., with Ole Miss (844) finishing second. New Mexico (850), Georgia (857) and Augusta (861) also advanced to the NCAA Championships with Notre Dame's Jacob Modleski finishing as the top individual.
