Ragin’ Cajuns Invitational II finale with Houston called off due to inclement weather
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team's scheduled doubleheader with Houston on Sunday, February 23 in the Ragin' Cajuns Invitational II at Lamson Park has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
With rain showers expected to persist throughout the day on Sunday, the field will not be ready for competition.
Single game tickets purchased for Sunday can be exchanged for any remaining game at Lamson Park in the 2025 season, based on availability.
Louisiana (8-4) finishes 2-0 in the Ragin' Cajuns Invitational II, capturing an 8-7 walk-off win over Houston and 9-2 victory over Kansas City on Saturday.
The Ragin' Cajuns are next in action on the road when they travel o Auburn, Alabama to compete in the Jane B. Moore Memorial tournament from Friday-Sunday, February 28-March 2. UL faces Rutgers, McNeese and host-Auburn during the three-day event held at Jane B. Moore Field on the Auburn University campus.
Tournament play in Auburn begins on Friday, February 28 when Louisiana takes on Rutgers and McNeese at 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., respectively.
