Louisiana Lands Five in Double Digits in Exhibition Win Over LSUA

Group paced Cajuns in breaking 20-point barrier in every quarter
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Basketball team came away victorious, 92-47, over LSU-Alexandria on Thursday, October 23 at the Cajundome in its first exhibition game of the 2025-26 season.
Junior transfer Mikaylah Manley and freshman Imani Daniel scored 19 points apiece to lead a group of five Ragin' Cajuns who scored in double figures. Bianca Silva (13), Stephanie Mosley (13) and Amijah Price also recorded double digits.
The Ragin' Cajuns shot 45 percent on 35-of-77 shooting and had double the field makes as LSUA which was held to 17-of-51 shooting. UL finished with a positive assist-to-turnover ratio, passing out 17 helpers while committing only 15 turnovers, and out-rebounded the Generals 54-25 buoyed by 25 offensive rebounds.
Daniel added 15 rebounds to notch a double-double in her first collegiate action. Her boards were split evenly on both ends of the court, finishing with eight offensive rebounds and seven defensive rebounds.
Sliva and Price directed the offense to the tune of six assists and four assists, respectively. Silva was the second-leading rebounder with eight boards.
Nine members of the new-look Ragin' Cajuns – each individual in their first year with the program – saw playing time for the first time in a game setting at the Cajundome. Every single one registered at least one point.
Louisiana scored 20-plus points every quarter in registering its highest output in regulation (exhibition or regular season) since scoring the same amount on Jan. 13, 2022 vs. Troy.

Louisiana will have its final exhibition game against Mississippi College at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, at the Cajundome before opening the regular season at home against Bowling Green at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Louisiana scored the game's first five points and never trailed.
- Five quick points from Lily Ba and a three-pointer from Kahlen Norris had the Cajuns doubling up the Generals, 12-6, in the first five minutes.
- After LSUA closed the gap to 16-13 at 1:48 of the first quarter, Mikaylah Manley drained a triple and Imani Daniel scored off a steal over the next 40 seconds to stretch the lead out to 21-13.
- Bianca Silva scored a bucket and dished out three assists as UL's lead moved into double digits to stay (at 32-20) prior to the second quarter media timeout.
- Freshmen Imani Daniel and Amijah Price combined for 12 of the Cajuns' 20 points in the second quarter that brought the team's first half total to 44 points.
- Out of the locker room, the Ragin' Cajuns started with a 13-4 run that built a 57-33 advantage. Manley and Silva together accounted for the first nine points.
- UL scored the final 15 points of the third quarter and once again was doubling up LSUA (72-36).
- Stephanie Mosley connected on two three-pointers in the first 1:18 of the fourth quarter, starting an 11-0 run that grew the lead to its largest margin at 83-38.
