The Cajuns have won four of their last five matches
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Louisiana men's tennis team continued their hot stretch of play on Friday with a 4-1 win over Abilene Christian in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Cajuns won the doubles point before getting singles wins on courts two, three, and four for their fourth win in their last five matches.
It was a tightly contested doubles point but the Cajuns came out on top. Vasil Dimitrov and Leonard Tramolay got things going with a 6-4 win on court two. Sacha Grandvincent and Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez clinched the point with a 7-5 win on court one.
The Wildcats evened the score with a win on court one but the Cajuns closed strong to finish the job. Grandvincent put the Cajuns back on top with a straight set, 6-4, 6-4, win on three. Sanchez Gonzalez earned his fifth straight singles victory by a score of 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, on court two. Dimitrov finished the job with a 6-2, 6-2 court four win. The Cajuns were ahead on courts five and six when the match was called.
The Cajuns wrap up the weekend against DePaul tomorrow morning with first serve scheduled for 9.
