Jones Named SBC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

He is the second Ragin’ Cajun track and field member to win a weekly award this spring
NEW ORLEANS, LA – Louisiana's Trejun Jones was named the Sun Belt Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week the league announced Wednesday. Jones had a stellar performance over the weekend at the Maroon and White Invite in Starkville, Mississippi.
Jones ran the 100-meter in 10.22 seconds, posting the second-fastest time in school history and the fastest time this spring in the conference. He then helped the men's 4x100-relay team take first place with a time of 39.82, the sixth fastest time in school history.
The Cajuns have the weekend off before heading to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for the SBC Championships beginning Thursday, May 11.
