Davis and Pokuaah Close out NCAA East Regionals for Louisiana

The pair of jumpers each competed in two events this week
JACKSONVILLE, FL. – The Louisiana track and field team closed out the NCAA East Regional at the Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida with the women's high and triple jumps. Taylor Davis competed in both events while Jacqueline Pokuaah joined her in the triple jump after appearing in the long jump on Thursday.
Davis cleared 1.67 meters in the high jump to finish in 43rd place. In the triple jump, she had a season-best 12.78 meters to finish in 25th. Pokuahh was not far behind her in 31st with a jump of 12.60 meters to finish the day.
UP NEXT FOR THE CAJUNS
The Cajuns will be represented at the national championship in Austin, Texas starting Thursday, June 8 with Maria Bienvenu in the women's javelin. Then on Friday, June 9, the men's 4x100-relay team will run for a chance at a national championship.
