Ragin’ Cajuns to be Heavily Represented at NCAA Regional, Land 16 on All-SBC Team

NEW ORLEANS, LA. – The Louisiana track and field team placed 16 student-athletes on the All-Sun Belt Conference Team the league announced on Thursday. The Cajuns had three first team members, nine second team, and four third team.
Leading the way on the first team were SBC champions Maria Bienvenu, Javed Jones, and Jeremy Nelson. On the second team were Jacqueline Pokuaah and Kennedy London for the women and Nathan Fergusson, Nick Russell, Trejun Jones, Brock Appiah, Floyd Pond, Jamhad Booth, Antoni Hoyte-Small, and Caemon Scott on the men's side. Making the third team was Ta'la Spates, Timothy Gale, and Obdarius Ware.
Up next for the Cajuns is the NCAA East Regional where they will have plenty of representation. The regionals will be in Jacksonville, Florida starting Wednesday, May 24.
Bienvenu, Javed Jones, headline those going along with Emma Bacilla, Marin Barras, Moe Bridgen, Sophie Daigle, Taylor Davis, London, Pokuaah, and Spates on the women's side. On the men's side heading to Jacksonville also includes Appiah, Booth, Kashie Crockett, Loubert Dagrin, Fergusson, Chris Gravois, Hoyte-Small, Trejun Jones, Pond, and Scott.
