Seniors Lead Cajuns in SBC Quarterfinals

PEACHTREE CITY, GA - Karlo Kajin and Kacper Dworak each battled to an opening set victory in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Conference Championships at Peachtree City Tennis Center in Peachtree City, Georgia. Despite their efforts it wasn't enough as the Louisiana men's tennis team couldn't overcome a hot performance by Georgia State and fell 4-0.
The day began with doubles which was taken by the Panthers. The match over on court two was the first to finish with the final score of 6-3 before court one finished 6-4. On court three the Cajun duo of Calin Postea and William Ribero held a 5-3 lead before the match was declared unfinished.
Dworak had an easy time in the opening set on court six once the action flipped over to singles. The senior cruised 6-0 in that set and was about to head to a third set before his match went unfinished. Kajin had to go to a tiebreaker to win his opening set on court one, 7-6. Postea also posted an opening set win on court four, but the Cajuns were bested in straight sets on courts two, three and five for the match.
