Louisiana Opens Play On Monday at Rugged Mossy Oak Collegiate

WEST POINT, Miss. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team faces its toughest field of the season when it opens play on Monday in the 18-team Mossy Oak Collegiate Championship at the Mossy Oak Golf Club.
Action in the 54-hole tournament begins on Monday at 8 a.m. with 36-hole shotgun start. The final round will be played on Tuesday.
Louisiana is in a field which features six teams ranked in the GolfStat Top-25, highlighted by No. 4 Auburn. Tennessee (No. 15), Alabama (No. 17), host Mississippi State (No. 21), Ole Miss (No. 23) and Kansas State (No. 24) are in the field with three schools – Cincinnati (No. 33), Liberty (No. 41) and LSU (No. 43) – ranked in the top-50.
Rounding out the field is Abilene Christian, Lamar, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Southern Miss, Troy and UAB.
Louisiana will be paired with Louisiana Tech, Troy and UAB in Monday's first two rounds with freshman Malan Potgieter manning the No. 1 spot.
Eli Ortego, Matt Weber, Hudson Dubinski and Burke Alford will round out Louisiana's lineup.
