Pokuaah Named SBC Women’s Newcomer of the Year, 15 Named to SBC Indoor All-Conference Team

Ten men and five women were named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Conference Team
NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana's track and field team took home plenty of hardware on Wednesday as the Sun Belt Conference announced their Indoor All-Conference Awards on Wednesday. Jacqueline Pokuaah was named the Women's Newcomer of the Year while 15 student athletes earned All-Conference selections
Pokuaah broke the school record en route to a first place finish in the long jump while also taking home third in the triple jump. Pokuaah's 20-feet, 5.75-inches jump broke Twilet Malcolm's record from 1991 by 2.25 inches.
Ten men and five women earned their place on the All-Conference team with a top-three finish in any event. Earning All-Conference honors were:
