Louisiana earned their first Sun Belt Conference win of the season
CONWAY, S.C. – It would be difficult to script a better start to Sun Belt Conference play for the Louisiana men's tennis team who cruised to a 6-1 win over Coastal Carolina. The win is the second straight for the Cajuns.
Things were tight in doubles action as the teams split on courts one and three. The Cajuns took court one with the pairing of Karlo Kajin and Vasil Dimitrov coming away victorious 6-2. All the pressure was on court two, but Kacer Dworak and Alejo Ferrer Chueca pulled out the 7-6 (7-5) win.
William Ribero put the Cajuns up 2-0 with his win on court six before the Chanticleers got one back on court four. That was as close as things would get as the Cajuns clinched with straight set wins by Ferrer Chueca and Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez. Kajin earned his eighth straight win in straight sets while Calin Postea's win on court five was of the three set variety.
