Ortego, Weber Move Into Top-10 at Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate

Louisiana paired with A-State, USF, Kentucky in final round; will tee off at 10:10 a.m. CT
HENDERSON, Nevada – Eli Ortego and Matt Weber each posted rounds below par to move into the top-10 in the individual standings and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team finished up the second day of the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate on Tuesday in a sixth-place tie at the Reflection Bay Golf Club.
The final round of the 54-hole tournament will begin on Wednesday at 10 a.m. CT. Live results can be accessed at GolfStat.com and RaginCajuns.com. Louisiana, which will be paired with South Florida, Arkansas State and Kentucky in the final round, will tee off beginning at 10:20 a.m. from the No. 1 tee.
Ortego notched his second straight round below par after shooting a 2-under-70 on Monday. The sophomore got off to a hot start on the front nine in the second round, shooting a 3-under-33 and finishing at 1-under 71 for the round to move into seventh at 3-under-141 after 36 holes.
Weber birdied three of his final five holes on the front nine to make the turn at 2-under-34 before finishing at 2-under-70 for the round and tied for 10th at 1-under-143.
Freshman Malan Potgieter recorded a 4-over-par 76 for Louisiana with Burke Alford shooting a 78 as the Ragin' Cajuns posted a team score of 295 to finish tied for sixth with Arkansas State at 6-over-582.
No. 42-ranked Little Rock claimed the lead after 36 holes after posting a team score of 292 and finishing at 5-under-571. New Mexico State (573), Long Beach State (574), Kentucky (581) and Kansas City (581) rounded out the top five in the 15-team field.
