Louisiana Opens Play Monday at Bayou City Collegiate

HOUSTON – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team competes in its second event of the spring beginning on Monday when it opens play in the Bayou City Collegiate at Westwood Country Club.

Action begins at 8 a.m. with the 16-team field playing in a 36-hole shotgun start. The final round of the 54-hole tournament is scheduled for 8 a.m. on Tuesday. Live results will be available at GolfStat.com and RaginCajuns.com.

Louisiana, which opened play last week at the Hal Williams Collegiate, will be paired with UTSA, ULM and Oral Roberts in the first two rounds. The schools join co-hosts Rice, Houston and Sam Houston in the field along with Abilene Christian, Houston Christian, Incarnate Word, Lamar, Southern Illinois, Southern Miss, Stephen F. Austin, UT Arlington and UTRGV.

Charlie Flynn will lead the Ragin' Cajuns lineup with Eli Ortego, Malan Potgieter, Matt Weber and Hudson Dubinski rounding out the five-man roster. Burke Alford will compete as an individual.
