Ragin’ Cajuns Head to Fayetteville for NCAA Regional Action

The Cajun men finished seventh as a team while the women placed ninth at the SBC Championships
FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas - The Louisiana cross country team takes on the first round of the postseason on Friday, November 10 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The action begins at 10:30 a.m. with the women's 6k with the men to follow in the 10k from Agri Park.
Last time out the Cajuns ran at the Sun Belt Conference Championships where the men finished seventh and the women placed ninth. Peyton Chiasson continued his strong season for the Louisiana men with a 24th-place finish, running with a time of 26:43.80. On the women's side, freshman Ella Segura finished 30th and was the fifth fastest freshman with a time of 18:54.10.
Segura has been among the team's top two finishers in each of the last three races. Chiasson has led the team in three of their four meets this fall.
The Cajuns look to qualify for the NCAA Championships on November 18 in Charlottesville, Virginia.
