Ella Segura and Peyton Chiasson once again led the Cajuns
FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas - The Louisiana cross country team was led by a pair of familiar faces on Friday, November 10 at the NCAA South Central Regional in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Ragin' Cajuns were led by Ella Segura and Peyton Chiasson in their final fall race.

Segura completed the 6k event as the fastest Cajun on the women's side in 22:42.20, placing her 93rd in the region. The rest of the scoring Cajuns all finished within six seconds of each other. Clocking in at 23:22.10 was Brooke Spalitta to place 129th. Just behind her was Isabelle Russell at 23:23.70, in 131st, and Juliana Courville with a time of 23:25.50, 134th. Rounding out the scorers was Haley Salsbury in 136th with a time of 23:28.10.

On the men's side, Chiasson was the leader of the pack like he was in all but one race this fall. He finished the 10k event in 73rd place with a time of 31:48.70. Behind him was Mason Haley running a 33:05.70 to place 123rd. Samuel Avants was after him with a time of 33:44.40 in 147th followed by Owen Tauzin's 34:49.50 (161st) and Caedmon Kyles in 169th at 36:00.60.

As a team, the women finished 22nd while the men placed 24th. Arkansas came away victorious in the women's event while Texas claimed the men's side. Arkansas was represented with the individual winner on both sides, with Sydney Thorvaldson winning the women's race and Patrick Kiprop winning the men's.
