Louisiana Tees Off Monday at Graeme McDowell Intercollegiate

GADSDEN, Ala. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team gears up for its third event of the 2022-23 season when it opens play Monday at the Graeme McDowell Intercollegiate at Robert Trent Jones' Silver Lakes Golf Course.

First-day action begins on Monday with 36 holes beginning at 7:30 a.m., with the final 18 holes in the 54-hole event concluding on Tuesday. Louisiana, one of 12 teams in the field, will tee off beginning at 8:24 a.m. from the No. 1 tee.

Joining Louisiana in the field includes host UAB, Campbell, Charleston Southern, Jacksonville (Fla.), Jacksonville State, Lamar, Lipscomb, North Alabama, Tarleton State, Troy and USC Upstate.

Charlie Flynn (73.17) will man the No. 1 spot in the lineup for Louisiana with Eli Ortego (74.33), Matt Weber (75.33), Jake Marler (74.00) and freshman Malan Potgieter (74.00) rounding out the lineup. Burke Alford, who posted identical rounds of even-par 72 in his 2022-23 debut, will compete for Louisiana as an individual.
