Ragin' Cajuns Wrap Up Regular Season Against Georgia Southern

Louisiana can clinch No. 3 seed in the Sun Belt Tournament with a win
LAFAYETTE – Louisiana wraps up its regular season on Saturday afternoon when it hosts Georgia Southern at historic Earl K. Long Gymnasium. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m.
With a win, the Ragin' Cajuns will clinch the No. 3 seed in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament and secure a first-round bye.
On Thursday, Louisiana earned an impressive victory over Georgia State, defeating the Panthers 64-48 with the help of a strong third quarter.
Freshman Lanay Wheaton led the charge on offense with 14 points, while Tamera Johnson added 12 points and a team-best eight rebounds and Destiny Rice contributed 10 points.
Ty'Reona Doucet lead the Cajuns, who boast the 11th best field goal percentage in the nation, with 12.0 points in the contest.
Georgia Southern enters the game with a 17-8 overall record and an 8-5 mark in league play. In its last outing, the Eagles defeated ULM, 83-68.
Terren Ward leads the way with 16.0 points per game and 7.6 rebounds per game.
Fans are asked to wear pink to the contest as the team will celebrate its annual Pink Game and support the Andrea Brodhead Foundation.
