Matchup with Texas Tech completes participation in the week-long event
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Basketball team returns home to the Cajundome on Sunday, November 20, completing play in the Preseason WNIT with a 4:00 p.m. tilt against Texas Tech.
Â
Admission to the Texas Tech game – and all home games throughout the entire season – is free and open to the public.
Â
Louisiana Athletics is encouraging fans to donate canned food items for families in need for Thanksgiving by dropping off donations in the lobby of the Cajundome on Sunday. Also, a custom Ragin' Cajuns jersey giveaway will be held with one UL student and one general winner chosen.
Â
The Ragin' Cajuns (1-3) seek a reversal of fortune when they step back on their home court, as they are in the midst of a three-game losing streak that includes a pair of setbacks earlier in the week in Preseason WNIT matchups in Lubbock, Texas against Colorado and Jackson State.
Â
The home court has been kind to Louisiana, as the squad picked up an exhibition win over Spring Hill earlier in the month and limited Houston to 23-percent shooting in a 55-48 win back on November 7.
Â
Texas Tech (2-1) enters the matchup with momentum gained following an 86-85 overtime win over Colorado back on Wednesday as the Lubbock, Texas portion of the Preseason WNIT wrapped up.
Â
The Ragin' Cajuns first-ever home game with the Red Raiders can be heard in the Lafayette area on 103.3 FM The Goat and 1420 AM and worldwide on the Varsity Network. The game will be streamed live on ESPN Plus.
