Louisiana Set To Compete at NCAA South Central Regional

Women's 6K starts at 8:30 a.m.; men's 10K at 9:30
COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Cross Country teams look to build off an impressive performance in its last meet when it competes in the NCAA South Central Regional on Friday at the Dale Watts Cross Country Course.
The women's 6K race will start at 8:30 a.m., with the men's 10K event slated to begin at 9:30. Live results for the meet will be available by Flash Results.
Coming off a fifth-place finish at the SBC Championships, Louisiana looks to build on a successful season while facing some of the top programs in the nation.Â
Sophie Daigle, who placed second overall at the SBC Championships, looks to continue her stellar season after being named the SBC Newcomer of the Year on Wednesday. She will be joined in the women's lineup by Meredith Hebert, Ava Lemoine, Rosalie Michot, Haley Salsbury, Brooke Spalitta, Caroline Spalitta and Kamryn Williams.
Baptiste Depril-Dupre and Samuel Avants have been the top two runners on the men's side for Louisiana with Peyton Chaisson, Ty Frazier, Mason Haley, John Walker McDonald, Braden Scalisi and Reece Shelby slated to compete.
The top two teams and the first four finishers in the race not associated with those two teams will advance to the NCAA Championships on Nov. 19 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.Â
