GLADEWATER, Texas – Coming off a third-place finish in its last event, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team returns for its fourth event of the fall when it opens play on Sunday at the Tempest Intercollegiate at Tempest Golf Club.

Play begins in the three-day, 54-hole tournament on Monday at 7:40 a.m., with the 11-team field playing 18 holes each day. Louisiana, which will be paired with host Texas State, South Alabama and Rice on the opening day, will tee off beginning at 8:40 a.m. from the No. 1 tee.

Also entered into the field on the par-72, 7,229-yard course includes Central Michigan, Houston Christian, Incarnate Word, Nicholls, Stephen F. Austin, UT Arlington and UT Rio Grande Valley.

Louisiana earned its first top-3 finish of the season after competing at UAB's Graeme McDowell Intercollegiate on Sept. 26-27. Charlie Flynn, Jake Marler and freshman Malan Potgieter each recorded top-10 finishes to lead the Ragin' Cajuns in the event.

Flynn, averaging 73.44 per round in nine rounds of play, will lead Louisiana's lineup and will tee off at 9:20 a.m. Marler (74.00) and Potgieter (74.00) are next in the lineup for the Ragin' Cajuns with Eli Ortego (74.89) and Burke Alford (75.00) rounding out the field. Freshman Maximilian Feistmantl will make his collegiate debut for Louisiana playing as an individual.
