Dubinski Debuts With 68 To Lead Louisiana at Ka'anapali Collegiate

Louisiana paired with Boise State, Colorado, Liberty in second round
LAHAINA, Hawaii – Senior Hudson Dubinski recorded a 3-under-par 68 in his 2022-23 debut and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team finished the first day of the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational in a tie for 12th place on Friday at Royal Ka'anapali Golf Club.
Louisiana posted a team score of even-par 284 to finish tied with tournament host Hawaii in the 20-team field.
The second round of the 54-hole event begins on Saturday with an 1 p.m. CDT shotgun start. Louisiana, playing in its final fall event of the 2022-23 season, will be paired with Boise State, Colorado and No. 49-ranked Liberty. Live results will be available at GolfStat.com.
Dubinski paced Louisiana by equaling his career low round which was previously set at the 2020 All-American Intercollegiate. Dubinski finished the opening day tied for 16th in the 123-player field as he posted seven of Louisiana's 20 birdies, which was highlighted by a 2-under-32 on the back nine.
Jake Marler recorded an even-par 71 in the opening round to finish tied for 49th for the Ragin' Cajuns with Charlie Flynn posting a 1-over-par 72. Eli Ortego and freshman Malan Potgieter each recorded rounds of 2-over 73 as the duo combined to post six birdies in the round.
Clemson claimed the first-day lead in the event after posting a team score of 17-under-267. No. 11-ranked Oklahoma (268), No. 45 East Tennessee (269), No. 29 North Florida (273) and defending champion Kansas (275) rounded out the top five.
