Louisiana has an unblemished day to close out first home weekend of Spring 2022 season
LAFAYETTE - The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Tennis defeated Xavier (La.) by a 4-0 count on Saturday, Jan. 29 at Cajun Courts to wrap up its weekend homestand with a 2-0 mark.
The Ragin' Cajuns (3-1) win over the Gold Rush put the finishing touches on the squad's first homestand of the Spring 2022 season which began with a 6-1 win over Tyler Junior College on Friday, Jan. 28.
For the second straight day, the doubles tandem of Kacper Dworak and Calin Postea won convincingly at No. 3 doubles. Their 6-0 decision put Louisiana on the fast track to claiming the doubles point over XULA. Oriol Fillat Gimenez and Vasil Dimitrov secured the doubles point, improving to 3-1 at No. 2 doubles on the young season.
In picking up the singles wins that upped the Ragin' Cajuns lead to the final score, Dimitrov, Dworak and Postea each extended their personal win streak to two games.
