MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Louisiana Baseball is set to play Texas State on Wednesday, May 26, and Appalachian State on Thursday, May 27, in Pool C at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. Both games will start at 7 p.m. CT.
For Louisiana to advance to the next round, it will have to beat the winner of the Texas State and App State contest since they own the tiebreaker as the top seed in the pool. The Bobcats and Mountaineers are set to square off in Montgomery on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. CT.Â

Louisiana's Drake Osborn was named Newcomer of the Year in the Sun Belt, while three Ragin' Cajuns (Osborn, Connor Cooke and Ben Fitzgerald) made the All-Sun Belt First Team, the most in the league.Â

Brandon Talley picked up a save and hit a home run against UTA. Talley became the first Ragin' Cajun to earn a save and hit a home run in a single season since Ryan Wilson and Seth Harrison in 2014.Â
