Men’s Tennis Back in Action This Weekend

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Men's Tennis team will resume play at Oklahoma on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 3:00 p.m. and at Rice on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 3:00 p.m. following a 25-day layoff due to weather postponements.
Louisiana enters the match at 1-6 but has played some big-time competition to start the year.
Oklahoma enters Thursday's match at 6-4 with impressive wins over No. 12 Wake Forest and Arkansas. The Sooners have been in and out of the rankings all season, with the highest ranking being at No. 23 in late January.
Mason Beiler is the top player for the Sooners. He was preseason ranked No. 69 in the ITA Division I Men's Singles Rankings.
On Saturday, Louisiana will travel back down from Norman, Okla., to Houston and take on the Rice Owls.
The Owls currently have a 2-5 record with their only wins coming against Lamar and New Orleans. Like the Ragin' Cajuns, Rice hasn't played a match in over two weeks.
