GAME NOTES
Four-year Transfers
The three four-year transfers played a vital role in Louisiana's series win over the weekend. The three, Brett Borgogno, Drake Osborn and CJ Willis, went a combined 11-for-25 (.444) with seven runs scored, two doubles, a triple, a home run and six RBI.

BENNY BALL GAME
Ben Fitzgerald hit his second go-ahead pinch-hit home run of his career against Tulane on Sunday, Feb. 21. Fitzgerald's first came against Michigan State in Pensacola, Fla., on March 7 of last season.

SPEEDY Cajuns
Over the weekend against Tulane, Louisiana went a perfect 8-8 on stolen bases. The Ragin' Cajuns join Boston College, Louisville and UAB as the only four teams in the NCAA who have a perfect stolen base percentage with a minimum of eight attempts.

FRESH MEAT
Louisiana freshmen Hayden Durke and Carson Roccaforte introduced themselves to Ragin' Cajun Nation in a big way at Tulane. Durke threw 5.0 innings of scoreless baseball and became the first-ever freshman to start a season opener for Louisiana during the season opener. Roccaforte also played a key role and joined Dalton Pearson (Georgia State) as the only true freshman in the Sun Belt to see action in three or more games.

GOOD OFFENSIVE START
Louisiana has already hit three home runs to start the season, matching all of last season's output. It took the Ragin' Cajuns three games to score 17 runs this season, but last season it took Louisiana five games to reach that output. The Ragin' Cajuns have already scored nine runs in two games this season. In the 17-game 2020 season, Louisiana was only able to score nine or more runs twice on the year.
