Ragin’ Cajuns Look to Bounce Back Against UNO

Contest is second of five-straight games against in-state opponents
LAFAYETTE – Louisiana is looking to return to its winning ways on Saturday afternoon when it welcomes New Orleans to CAJUNDOME for another in-state matchup. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m.
Even with Thursday night's defeat to LSU, the Ragin' Cajuns own an impressive 49-14 record against in-state opponents under head coach Garry Brodhead. Additionally, the team is 4-0 against the Privateers under Coach Brodhead.
Brandi Williams and Destiny Rice led the way for the Cajuns against the Tigers, scoring 10 points apiece in the defeat. Williams leads the team in scoring, scoring in double figures in three-straight games and averaging 15.3 points per contest.
New Orleans enters the game with a 1-2 overall record and is coming off its first win of the season, a 63-58 victory over Xavier (LA).
Former Ragin' Cajun Jomyra Mathis has been one of the Privateers top players, averaging 11.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. Brianna Ellis leads UNO with 15.7 points per contest.
