Road Trip Continues Out East for Louisiana Volleyball

Ragin’ Cajuns put win streak on the line in matches at Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina
BOONE, N.C. – A road trip that began on Tuesday in Monroe continues for Louisiana Volleyball out on the East Coast with matches at Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina.
The Ragin' Cajuns (11-4, 6-1 Sun Belt) take the court on Friday (Oct. 15) against the Mountaineers (5-13, 1-5 Sun Belt) at the Holmes Center in Boone, N.C., starting at 5:30 p.m. (CDT).
After a day off to travel, Louisiana makes a stop in Conway, S.C., on Sunday (Oct. 17) to face Coastal Carolina at the HTC Center in an 11 a.m. (CDT) match before returning home.
Louisiana started the three-match road trip with a straight sets sweep of ULM on Tuesday that extended the team's current winning streak to a season-best five matches. The run of success has vaulted the team to first place in the Sun Belt West Division.
In the win in Monroe, the Ragin' Cajuns continued the recent trend of a balanced offense that started with five players reaching double digits last Saturday vs. Little Rock. Against the Warhawks, there were a total of five players who amassed at least six kills in the match.
The Ragin' Cajuns, coming off an undefeated run of the first round of SBC West play for the first time in program history, are starting a string of four straight matches vs. SBC East teams that continues next weekend against South Alabama and Troy at Earl K. Long Gym.
