Louisiana Set To Compete At Border Olympics

Ragin' Cajuns part of 17-team field in two-day event
LAREDO, Texas – Coming off a fourth-place finish at the All-American Intercollegiate last week in Houston, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team returns to the state of Texas to compete in the Border Olympics that begins Monday at Laredo's Max Mandel Golf Course.

Action in the 54-hole event begins on Monday at 8 a.m., with the 17-team field playing 36 holes before the concluding with 18 holes on Tuesday. Live results, courtesy of GolfStat, will be available at RaginCajuns.com.

Joining Louisiana and host Houston, ranked No. 35 nationally, in the field includes No. 49-ranked Arkansas State, Bowling Green, Campbell, Houston Baptist, Kansas City, Lamar, Little Rock, Oral Roberts, Rice, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, Toledo, ULM, UT Rio Grande Valley and UTSA. Â

Senior Jack Tolson recorded his third career top-10 finish for Louisiana last week, finishing at 4-under 212 while helping the Ragin' Cajuns to a 2-under 862 for the second consecutive event. Tolson has posted a team-low 73.61 scoring average through 18 rounds on the 2019-20 season with four top-20 finishes.

Charlie Flynn, coming off his best 54-hole finish of the season (1-over-217), is averaging 74.4 through 15 rounds for Louisiana with Peter Hinnant (76.13), Bjorn Gudjonsson (74.78) and Hudson Dubinski (74.72) rounding out the lineup.

Louisiana will be paired with Bowling Green, Lamar and ULM during the first 36 holes on the par-72, 7,220-yard course. Â
