Lucie Raquin Named Sun Belt Female Tennis Athlete of the Week

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Women's Tennis player Lucie Raquin has been named the Sun Belt Conference's Female Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday morning.
Raquin went 2-0 in doubles during the week, both wins coming paired with teammate Marina Garcia. Her wins came as 6-2 against Incarnate Word and 6-4 against Southeastern Louisiana.
Raquin also managed to have the match-clinching singles victory against SLU. After losing the first set, she fought back to win in the next two sets, winning the match 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. The Ragin' Cajuns needed her win to secure the program's seventh straight win to begin the season.
The Louisiana Women's Tennis will be in action again Feb. 23 when it travels to Chicago, Ill. to face the University of Illinois-Chicago.
