LAFAYETTE – The Ragin' Cajuns' Women's Tennis team is heading to Lake Charles, La. this week to face off against McNeese State. The match is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 2:30 p.m.
Louisiana's Women's Tennis team is coming in with a perfect 7-0 record, while McNeese State sits at 1-6. These two teams are very familiar with one another as they have played each other in seven straight seasons. McNeese has taken the last six matches from Louisiana.
Fresh off of a comeback victory at Southeastern Louisiana, the Ragin' Cajuns look to continue their hot start to the year. This is the first time since 2007 that Louisiana's Women's Tennis team has started the season 7-0.
Louisiana is led by Floriane Picaut with nine wins altogether and zero losses. After transferring in from Pitt, Mariona Perez is finding success with the Ragin' Cajuns as she has won all five of her singles matches.
