Ragin' Cajuns Head to Mobile for SBC Championships

Women's 5K race set for 10 a.m., men's 8K event at 11; both available on ESPN+
MOBILE, Ala. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Cross Country team wraps up the 2020 season on Saturday when it competes in the Sun Belt Conference Championships at the Old Brookley Golf Course.

The women's 5K race will start at 10 a.m., with the men's 8K race starting at 11. Both races will be streamed live on ESPN+ and live results will be available at RaginCajuns.com.

The women's 5K field will include all 12 Sun Belt Conference programs: Appalachian State, defending champion Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Little Rock, Louisiana, South Alabama, Texas State, Troy, ULM, and UT Arlington.

The men's 8K field will include 10 Sun Belt Conference programs: defending champion Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Little Rock, Louisiana, South Alabama, Texas State, Troy, ULM, and UT Arlington.

Louisiana makes its second appearance on the Old Brookley Golf Course after opening the 2020 season at the Azalea City Classic last month. The Ragin' Cajuns finished second overall on the men's side in a 5K event with the women's team recording a fourth-place performance.

Damian O'Boyle enters the race with three top-10 performances on the season for Louisiana. The McNeese grad transfer earned a seventh-place finish in his Louisiana debut last month at the Azalea City Classic and finished seventh overall in the 8K Little Rock Open on Oct. 17.

Key Alfred has recorded a pair of top-10 finishes this season for Louisiana with Conner Meche earning his first career top-10 performance earlier this month at the ULM Warhawk Invitational.

Emoni Coleman, Rosalie Michot and Kelly Goff have each posted top-finishes for Louisiana on the women's side. Ally McCulley, Meredith Hebert and freshman Pierra Charles have each posted top-10 finishes for the Ragin' Cajuns. Â
