RALLY POINTS
- Though the season-opening win streak is complete, the 2020 Ragin' Cajuns go down as history makers. They produced the second-best start in program history, trailing only the 1990 team's record 13 consecutive wins, and joined the 1990 team as the only Louisiana squads to reach 11-0.
- The series with Arkansas State features two teams tied in the Sun Belt West standings at 5-3 in league play and seeking to remain in the hunt for the title.
- The Ragin' Cajuns have won the last three regular season meeting with the Red Wolves. Louisiana posted a straight sets sweep in each of the last two meetings at Earl K. Long Gym.
- Not only are the Ragin' Cajuns seeking to bounce back from a series sweep setback vs. Texas State, but outside hitters Hali Wisnoskie and Kelsey Bennett seek to return to their dominant form. The duo was held to .131 and .060 hitting, respectively, by the Bobcats defense.
- Middle blockers Kara Barnes and Cami Hicks are coming off personal-best moments vs. Texas State. In the Friday night match, Barnes recorded a career-best .480 percentage for a match with 25-plus attempts (scored 16 kills) and Hicks landed her season-high total of nine kills off of 18 error-free swings.
- Kara Barnes paced Louisiana's efforts vs. Texas State with 3.18 kills per set on a .409 hitting percentage throughout the series. She scored a kill on over half (35) of her 66 attack attempts for the weekend.
- Hali Wisnoskie ranks 5th among all active NCAA D1 Volleyball players with 1,223 career kills. She's rapidly approaching the 1,300 career kills mark – a feat accomplished by only two other players in program history (Janaina Gomes and Nia Kiggundu).
- Since the calendar flipped over to October, senior setter Avery Breaux has surpassed 2,000 career assists (at ULM) and 1,000 career digs (vs. Texas State).
