Louisiana Makes Final Tuneup at Little Rock Open

Final meet for Ragin' Cajuns prior to SBC Championships
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Cross Country team makes it final tuneup before the upcoming Sun Belt Conference Championships when it travels to compete in the Little Rock Open on Saturday at War Memorial Park.

Action will start with the women's 5K race at 10:15 a.m., with the men's 8K event scheduled for 11. Louisiana will join host Little Rock along with Sun Belt members Arkansas State and ULM, Central Arkansas, Missouri State (women's team), Delta State (women's team), Philander Smith, Jacksonville (Texas) College and Arkansas-Fort Smith.

Newcomer Damian O'Boyle has paced the Ragin' Cajuns' to a pair of second-place finishes on the men's side with Emoni Coleman leading the women's team to a pair of top-five finishes. The Ragin' Cajuns claimed the women's title at the ULM Warhawk Invitational on Oct. 3.

Kelly Goff, Rosalie Michot, Ally McCulley and Meredith Hebert all posted top-10 finishes for Louisiana on the women's side with Key Alfred and Conner Meche finishing in the top-10 for the men.

The Ragin' Cajuns men's team will compete in its first 8K event of the season heading into the SBC Championships scheduled for Oct. 31 in Mobile, Ala. Louisiana opened the season at the 5K Azalea City Classic before competing in the 4-mile race at ULM.
