Louisiana to face Warhawks, Tech at ULM XC Invitational

Women's 5K race starts at 5:45 p.m.; men's 4-mile event at 6:30
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Cross Country team heads north to Monroe for its second event of the 2020 season on Friday when it competes in the ULM Warhawk Invitational at the Chennault Park Golf Course.
The women's 5K race will start at 5:45 p.m., with the men's 4-mile race set for 6:30. Louisiana will join host ULM and Louisiana Tech in the three-team field.
Louisiana opened its season on Sept. 11 at the Azalea City Classic with the Ragin' Cajuns men's team earning a second-place finish with the women's team placing fourth overall.
Newcomer Damian O'Boyle and Key Alfred each recorded top-10 finishes for Louisiana on the men's side, that featured five top-25 finishes in the race. Emoni Coleman paced Louisiana on the women's side, finishing 19th overall, with Meredith Hebert, Ally McCulley and Lauren Cantrelle each finishing in the top 30.
The meet is Louisiana's second of three during the 2020 season prior to the Sun Belt Conference Championships on Oct. 31 in Mobile, Ala. The Ragin' Cajuns will make their final tuneup prior to the SBC Championships on Oct. 17 when it competes in the Little Rock Open.
