Men’s Tennis Opens Season at West Florida

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Men's Tennis team will start its 2020 campaign on Tuesday afternoon when it travels to West Florida for the first dual of the season starting at 3:00 p.m. ET.
Louisiana will look to follow one of the most successful seasons in program history after it won 21 matches last season, the most victories since 1986.
The Ragin' Cajuns return six of their nine players from last season and welcome in a wealth of freshmen talent in Stefan Gazo, Karlo Kajin and Ivailo Keremedchiev. The six returning members are Silvio Cocito-Monoc, Pearse Dolan, Kacper Dworak, Jamie Fraser, Jan Galka and Pierce Gilheany.
Galka played the majority of his freshman season as the No. 1 singles player and is primed to carry his success into this season.
Look for Keremedchiev to make an impact during the season as he became the first Ragin' Cajun since Jake Wynan in 2014 to reach the quarterfinals at a pro event this fall.
